60 years in the making...
Established in 2015 by Chad Johnson, GreenerEase has a rich history deeply rooted in a family-owned landscape company founded by Chad’s grandfather, Milburn Johnson, back in 1956.
After the passing of his wife, Milburn moved from Minnesota to Rhode Island with eight children, persevering through any available job to make ends meet. This marked the birth of Johnson Landscapes, now C. Johnson Landscape, where Milburn often enlisted his children’s help.
As time passed, Chuck Johnson took the helm, leading the company, while Chad gained valuable experience as a dedicated crew member working alongside his father.
Chad’s pursuit of expertise led him to earn a B.S. in Urban Horticulture and Turfgrass Management from the University of Rhode Island, obtaining certifications as a horticulturist, arborist, and licensed & certified commercial applicator. Guided by his extensive industry knowledge and unwavering passion for plant health, GreenerEase was born.
